Fundraiser by ahmed khalil
0% Completed
Urgent: Providing high-quality psychological relief to 18,000 Gaza survivors
Dina, 16 years old, said that she felt like dying when she told her story on satellite channels, as she fled with her family when their house was bombed. She showed symptoms of severe psychological shock, and the therapist said that she takes sedatives daily and needs to travel for treatment abroad because there is no adequate treatment in Gaza currently. Dina says she always screams when she hears the bombing because she imagines that her brother or mother has died.
Dina and thousands of children in Gaza who are in a similar situation, your fund will provide them with appropriate treatment and follow-up until they regain their lives.
Muhammadwho survived alone from under the rubble of his house after he was sitting with his mother and four sisters, did not realize until this moment that he had lost his mother and sisters. He says that he wants to return to his mother because she is still waiting for him. He even refrains from drinking milk with his relatives because he wants to drink from the milk that His mother keeps him at home, the bitterness of loss is too great for his young mind to comprehend.
There are many children who have lost their relatives, survived bombing, or were injured and lost their limbs, and they do not have appropriate psychological treatment. Urgent psychological relief and continuous follow-up will be provided with the latest technological capabilities available.
Two million people lived through 5 months of horrors and inhumane conditions in the Gaza Strip. Dozens of massacres left thousands of people in dire need of psychological and social assistance. The only hospital for mental health and most of the hospitals in the Strip were destroyed. The health crisis is worsening and the psychological aspect is neglected despite its great importance. The World Health Organization launched Global calls in particular, our project is part of the response to these calls.
Consultant psychiatrist Jamal Farwaiz, who worked as a psychiatrist consultant for the United Nations in many conflict areas, believes that the current war will have severe psychological repercussions on all of the approximately 2.5M citizens of the Gaza.
The psychiatrist in Gaza, Dr. Fadel A. Hin, said, “Children are beginning to show serious signs of trauma, such as convulsions, involuntary urination, fear, aggressive behaviors, nervousness, and an unwillingness to move away About their parents."
